New Windsor Heritage participated in the History Day Expo at Westminster High School on Saturday, February 24, 2024. The theme of this year's National History Day contest was Turning Points in History.



SECOND EDITION OF TIME’S CROSSROADS NOW AVAILABLE 

Frank Batavick recently published the second edition of this book, Time’s Crossroads: The History of New Windsor, Md. (219 pages, $20). 

This update to his 2017 book features new research on the early years of the town, its heyday as a resort, and its notable architecture, including the storied Dielman Inn.  The text is heavily illustrated with archival maps, engravings, and over 200 photos, some published for the first  time. 

Copies may also be purchased at Rudolph Girls Books in Westminster, in the museum shops of the Historical Society of Carroll County, at the New Windsor Heritage museum, and on Amazon.
